CASH ADVANCE MATH / BRIGIT CASH ADVANCE

Brigit cash advance. Put membership in the total.

Free standard delivery still leaves the cost of the in-app plan. Compare that route, understand repayment and see what the legal records say.

What Brigit actually costs

The default comparison uses Brigit Plus at $8.99 per month for the in-app route. Free standard delivery still leaves that membership cost.

Membership
Plus is $8.99 per month in the help center. The terms also list $5.99 to $9.99 legacy or promotional Plus rates. Premium is $15.99 and includes Express Delivery.
Mandatory advance fee
No separate mandatory advance fee in the supplied pricing. No tips.
Express Delivery
$0.99 to $5.99 for Plus members, with the exact amount shown in the app. The per-amount fee is unpublished, so the model cannot rank an exact instant total.
Standard delivery
Free, 1-3 business days (requested before 10:00 am ET on a business day = same day by 11:59 pm local; otherwise next business day).

The published advance range is $25 to $500, or $25 to $250 in Maine. Eligibility and your approved amount still need checking.

The terms permit an application without a subscription by email. The response and approval timing are not verified; the default model uses Plus and does not assume a free email advance will arrive in time.

The cost of $50, $100, $200 and $250

Every example uses 14 days, another bank, $0 tip, one advance per month and no qualifying Varo deposits. Required membership is allocated to this one advance. Total payback includes that membership even when it is billed separately.

Instant examples use an external account. MoneyLion standard delivery still requires MoneyLion Spend. The provider sets the actual repayment date. The 14-day period is a comparison assumption. These are general fee illustrations, with state exceptions and personal limits still to check.

Unpublished charges stay unknown. An amount above the modeled limit stays unavailable; it is not treated as a free advance. Equivalent APR annualizes the cost for comparison and is not the provider's advertised or legal APR.

How Brigit works

  1. Download the Brigit app, connect your primary checking account (Brigit reads about 90 days of transactions through a data aggregator) and pick a plan; Instant Cash is offered in-app with Plus ($8.99) or Premium ($15.99), and a no-subscription route exists by emailing terms1@hellobrigit.com.
  2. To qualify, the checking account must be at least 60 days old, used daily, have a balance above $0 and show at least 3 recurring deposits from the same employer or source; Brigit also computes a Brigit Score (0 to 100).
  3. Brigit's algorithm sets your advance amount from account activity, income, balance and spending: $25 to $500 ($25 to $250 in Maine), most qualify for $50 to $100; one advance at a time.
  4. You choose a due date when you request (typically your next payday); free standard delivery takes 1 to 3 business days, or Express Delivery (usually within 20 minutes) for a fee. No interest and no tips.
  5. Brigit withdraws the advance automatically on the due date (notice 2 business days before); you can move the date with an extension credit or repay early in the app.
  6. If you cannot pay there are no late fees, no collections and no credit reporting, but you lose access to Instant Cash until the advance is repaid.

Who can use it?

U.S. resident, 18 or older. Checking account (primary, used daily) with at least 60 days of history, balance above $0, and a minimum average end-of-day balance on paydays. At least 3 recurring deposits from the same employer or deposit source meeting a minimum dollar amount (amount not published); ATM deposits, paper checks, cash transfers and irregular pay schedules do not qualify. Payroll provider can be connected to verify income. No credit score required, no hard credit pull (identity is verified with name, address, date of birth and SSN).

Where it is available

'Not available in all states' (site footnote); no list of excluded states is published. Maine: advances limited to $25 to $250. State statements in the Terms: registered with the California DFPI as an Income-Based Advance Provider; licensed by the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs; Massachusetts surety bond or customer trust account; Connecticut Department of Banking complaint contact; Utah Division of Consumer Protection complaint contact for Earned Wage Access providers.

Repayment and failed payments

When and how repayment happens

Automatic withdrawal on the due date chosen at request (usually the next payday), viewable in the app; reminder 2 business days before. Due date can be moved with an extension credit applied 2 business days (another article says 3 business days) before the due date; a new credit is granted after 2 consecutive advances repaid without extensions. Early/manual repayment via 'make a payment' in the app; auto-pay can be switched to manual through support. Terms: debit card first, then ACH if the card is declined; Brigit may debit when positive cash flow appears and may initiate a smaller debit after a failed one. Optional 'Repay by Paycheck' via a deposit account at Cross River Bank.

What happens if a payment fails?

No late fees or penalties. Terms warrant Brigit has no legal or contractual claim against you for failure to repay, will not engage in debt collection and will not report you to a consumer reporting agency; access to future advances is suspended until repayment. Help center: disconnecting your bank without repaying means losing access to Instant Cash and related features. Instant Cash is not reported to credit agencies (only the separate Credit Builder loan is reported, and it is reported as delinquent after 30 days past due).

Who operates it, and which bank is involved?

Operator

Bridge IT, Inc., doing business as Brigit, 36 W 20th Street, Floor 11, New York, NY 10011 (Terms rev. 2026-03-31). Wholly owned subsidiary of Upbound Group, Inc. (parent of Rent-A-Center and Acima) since 2025-01-31, reported as Upbound's 'Brigit' segment.

Advance provider and bank partner

Instant Cash advances are made by Bridge IT, Inc. itself (no bank named for Instant Cash). Terms name Coastal Community Bank, Member FDIC for Credit Builder and the Line of Credit, and Cross River Bank, Member FDIC for the Direct Deposit Repayment account.
